The Szymanski Family, TMCI Missionaries in Mexico
Dear Friends,
PRAYER-Health
I would like to start this letter by asking for some prayer. Maricruz has been suffering from attacks on her health. Her neck and shoulders are all swollen and she is fighting repeated head aches We appreciate your prayers.
DANNY
Danny made it to his first part of his YWAM DTS mission. He is at the Tijuana, Mexico YWAM base. He is having a great time feeding the poor, ministering to orphans and doing outreach to the community. He seems to have fully recovered from covid. Thank You all for praying for him.
PRAISES!
The Lord blessed me with a new laptop. Now I can start sending out ministry reports again. It’s important to me to stay in touch with all of you. Some times it gets lonely on the mission field.
MINISTRY TRIP HOME
I always look forward to our trips home just to see friends again. We are trying to get money together so we can come home and visit this Summer. If we get the funds to come home we will be open to minister with friends and churches.
RADIO-PRAISE AND PRAYER
The Radio ministry continues to be a great blessing. People call all day long asking for prayer and sharing praise reports how the radio impacted their life. We would like to ask for a special prayer request. The man who gave our radio covering and protection died from covid. We are asking God to quickly grant us our radio license we applied for 2 years ago. Because of covid the government has stopped working on our license request.
WIDOWS IN SANTA CRUZ
Next week Maricruz and I will be going to the village of Santa Cruz. Maricruz hired a dress maker to make a new dress for each of the widows in Santa Cruz. The dresses are ready and we are excited to take them next week. The widows will also receive new under garments. It is time to buy another ton of corn and distribute it to the widows. I’m happy to say the Lord has provided enough money to feed the widows for the rest of this year.
COVID
The covid virus is still really bad in Mexico. People are calling all day long asking us to pray for loved ones. I am always happy to hear when someone gets healed. Often we are praying with families who have lost a loved one. As we minister God’s Love to these families many have given their lives to Jesus.
Sharing God’s Love is what we love to do and we thank you for joining with us in our many Kingdom advancing adventures.
Jesus Loves You!! We do too!

Mission to the Children“Changing our World One Life at a Time”
Wow what a month. God provided; God moved; God saved and healed his people. Praise God this was one our best months in ministry in a very long time. For starters, our Good Friday service was well attended and we had three first time visitors. With tears in our eyes and joy in our hearts we worshiped the lord. Also, our preparation for our Easter service was a huge success; We opened our second restroom, painted our entrance to the ranch, and Josh worked all week cutting trees and removing stumps in our entrance way. We had several trees that a tornado knocked over and it looked bad. Josh did a great job cleaning up our entrance.
Finally, we had a big clean up on the Saturday before Easter and you will not believe what happened. The people in town heard we had a big event so they wanted to help us since we are part of the community; They brought a truck load of donated plants and workers, and they cleaned all our fields and planted beautiful flowers on the side of our church. It was hard to believe that God touched the hearts of so many people who do
not attend our church. It was a miracle and some of the workers even attended our services. Our church is so blessed to be an important part of our community. Finally, Easter Sunday arrived and we had 70- 80 people in attendance. It was a real blessing to see our little church full. I wished Imelda could have been there. We had about
6 decisions for Christ, God healed a lady with back pains, and several people rededicated themselves to Christ. We also had a special time of prayer for all the Pastors. This was no ordinary service; you could feel the presence of the Lord, and you see on the faces of the people that God was working in their lives.
This was a real mountain top experience that we so badly needed. Our lives have not been easy; we have all seen heart times, but when the Lord shows up nothing else seems to matter. Praise God for what he is doing in our little Ranch Church. Your prayers and support made a huge difference. Thank You.

Ufa Bible Ministries, March 2021
This morning I was helping Tim to study his Bible passage. Every day he starts his home-school classes with a bible lesson. He read from an English translation and I took a copy of the Russian Bible from our church book shelf. It was an old shattered Bible, probably from our first days on the field. As he was reading from 2 timothy 2, I noticed a handmade scribble made by gold ink over an underlined verse on the next page.
The scribble was “01.03.04” which in European style calendar refers to March 1st, 2004. May not be worthy of a notice for some but for me it was. Someone found this verse useful at that time. Holy Spirit was touching someone’s heart. And, since it was the very beginning of our ministry, it was probably made by a young Christian who had just started his walk with the Lord. Or, it may have even been done by a non-Christian, Muslim man who happened to agree to visit our bible study. In any case, it prompted me to thank God for His greatness in using His Word.
Men’s Club
Turnout for our Men’s Club last week was good. Please pray for continuation of the work of the Holy Spirit in the hearts of its attenders, both current and past. It is hard in this culture for a man to become a follower of Jesus. There is a great deal of pressure on them to conform with the society. The fact that these men come to fellowship with us is a great deal in itself.
Calendar to Develop
Continue to pray for us as we still have many variables for this year’s schedule. We have yet to decide on this year’s family camp and workshop dates as well as possible Zimbabwe and the US trips. Pray for right dates and wisdom in planning.
Thank you for your continued prayers for us and support!

January 2021-Chris & Larena Johnston – Missionaries to Galway, Ireland
Greetings loved ones!
I begin the first newsletter of 2021 with a song in my head,
“I’m pressed but not crushed, persecuted not abandoned.
Struck down but not destroyed.
I’m blessed beyond the curse for his promise will endure.
And His joy’s gonna be my strength.
Though the sorrow may last for the night, His joy comes in the morning.”
Are you feeling pressed, persecuted, or struck down? In my head I keep hearing “locked down,” but I supposed the concept is the same. It’s a feeling of confinement and restriction. This song is a reminder to us all that we’re not crushed. We’re never abandoned. We won’t be destroyed. The joy of the Lord is going to be your strength. Hold fast to that reminder, that although there’s sorrow in this season, His joy in right around the corner.
Here in Ireland we’re facing yet another full lockdown. Pastor Jamie explained it in an interesting way. He said the first lockdown was a punch to the gut. The second lockdown came when we were bent over and we got an uppercut to the chin that knocked us out. This third lockdown is like being kicked repeatedly while we’re down and out.
Frankly, I’m not sure how much more of it we can take. Mental health was already a huge issue in Ireland. These lockdowns have completely compounded the issue. Suicides are through the roof, and sadly due to the shame associated with taking your own life, many of these deaths are being recorded as Covid deaths! It’s gotten so bad that it’s actually at the point where I’m not sure which is more deadly, the virus itself, or the complete shutdown. Our heart breaks for this nation!
HOPE There is a message of hope within us and an understanding that this season we’re going into with lighthouse church will open doors to the platform from which we’re meant to share this message of hope on a larger scale. Lockdowns have slowed the process down a little, but we’re moving forward with our involvement on the Lighthouse team.
This month we traveled out to the East, where we were able to look at an apartment and have an orientation meeting with Pastor Jamie. It was a great meeting, where he explained his vision, expectations, and got to know us a little better as well. It was a meeting that was supposed to happen at a staff retreat this month, but that retreat has been postponed until this lock down ends.
NEW APARTMENT Oh and by the way we got that apartment we were looking at! We moved in yesterday. Praise God for answered prayers! We’re super excited because it’s a place that’s really close to Pastor Jamie and a few others we will be working closely with. Although we’ve felt so isolated and alone in this past season, it’s awesome to be able to enter into this new season surrounded by such an amazing group of friends.
21 DAY FAST We are currently finishing up the last week of our church-wide 21 day fast. This is where we sacrifice some sort of food, meal, or activity and spend more time in prayer and worship. We try to do a fast every year. Last year we didn’t because we were in the States, so when we started this year’s fast I was quickly reminded how the withdrawal symptoms can be pretty harsh.
It’s all worth it however, because we really believe strongholds will be brought down and clarity of vision will be increased as we draw closer to God and seek His will in our lives and our church. We end each week with a virtual prayer meeting on Zoom. There’s a guest speaker at each meeting and a few people from the team are asked to pray.
This past week I was given the honor of praying over the nations. During my prayer, God gave me a word to share that Ireland would become a land of Lighthouses. This was a vision of the churches that will be planted in the future, as well as a call to let our light shine, sharing the love and Gospel of Jesus Christ for all of Ireland and also to the nations.
ANNUAL BUDGET MEETING We are doing our annual budget meeting with the board members of Hope Ireland Missions this week, and it’s amazing to look back and see just how God has provided for our every need.
We had a few unforeseen things come up this past year. One major one was a baby boy! Every step of the way, God has continued to provide through the faithfulness of those He’s called to partner with us. Please keep all of our supporters in your prayers. Pray for each other because we’re all a part of this team together!
Please also pray for Lighthouse Church, for the building purchase, for the upcoming Easter plans (that we can meet in person), and for the church plants. Please pray for our family. This upcoming season of traveling back and forth will be the biggest challenge we’ve faced in a long time. Pray that we will have a perspective that it’s an adventure!
All our love! ~Chris, Larena, Anora, & Liam
