July 2010 - Prayer & Praise Report
Dear TMCI Family,
Grace, mercy, love, and peace to you in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord!
Have you noticed how much the world has changed? Whether that is a good thing or bad thing depends on your level of optimism or pessimism. Now the Bible teaches us in Ecclesiastes that "there is nothing new under the sun". Yet the chapter of human history that is unfolding around us now looks like nothing we’ve ever seen before. We’re told that the "last days" will be times "unlike any seen on earth before". As always, let’s be sure to cling to Scripture’s constant blessing to us of "Grace, Love, Mercy, and Peace in the blessed name of JESUS CHRIST our LORD !!!!
For those of us who belong to HIM, we should be very positive and hopeful! Yes, there are plenty of signs that the future of this world is bleak and we groan and mourn with the pain and misery of this dying world. We're reminded "when you see these things, look up, for your redemption draws near!" And like Vance Havner used to say, "to the Christian bad news is good news". We are getting closer and closer to the return of our KING! Until His return we press on with our Father’s Business declaring His Freedom to All!
Some of the important prayer & praise reports this month involve the gatherings of God’s people in many places across the country. Now that Bishop Bob’s overseas travels have slowed down his local meetings have picked back up. Praise God for Brother Dayton Livingston in Newport, Tennessee and Sister Wanda Sharp in Franklin, Indiana. These dear friends are not only doing beautiful Kingdom work in their communities but they ministered their hospitality to our TMCI family at two great local connecting conferences last month. We even had a new Liberian pastor from Chicago catch a bus to the meeting in Franklin Indiana to be ordained! So God continues to do many new and unexpected things among us.
Speaking of a new frontier, please pray for our upcoming Spanish Connecting conferences in Laredo, Texas and Fresno, California. It will be exciting to share what God is doing in this part of our work in the gospel as we unify across ethnic lines to preach Christ in all the world!
It’s a new world alright! As evangelists and missionaries with the TMCI Family there is no substitute for good old fashioned fellowship & revival where God loves to meet us! Now we get to join the Lord and combine these with technology and global connectedness for a mighty move of His Holy Spirit.
Hollering Hallelujahs while hanging onto HIM!
